Team News
QPR are without four first-team defenders for Monday's London derby against
West Ham in the Barclays Premier League.
Anton Ferdinand, Jose Bosingwa and Fabio are all out with hamstring injuries and Armand Traore is also unavailable.
Striker Andy Johnson is out with a long-term knee injury but midfielder Adel Taarabt could return after missing the last two games with a hamstring problem.
Meanwhile, West Ham midfielder Gary O'Neil says has recovered from the knee injury he sustained during Tuesday's defeat to Wigan and will be fit for West Ham's London derby against QPR on Monday.
Sam Allardyce is likely to make wholesale changes from the XI that were beaten 4-1 by the Latics, although Modibo Maiga could keep his place after scoring on his second consecutive start.
On-loan Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is unlikely to play and Jack Collison is unavailable but Yossi Benayoun could make his first start since moving back to the Hammers on loan.
Match Notes
For all their summer signings, Queens Park Rangers have yet to come good.
After taking just two league points there were high hopes of a boost in the Capital One Cup but Reading dashed those, so it's back to the drawing board for Mark Hughes.
West Ham will be satisfied with their first season back in the top flight even if they, like QPR, they suffered a home defeat in midweek.
Close to call, with maybe one goal in it.
Betting: Home 21-20, Away 5-2, Draw 9-4.
Stat of the game: In 11 games against QPR manager Mark Hughes, West Ham’s Sam Allardyce has won just two, losing five and drawing four.
John Ley’s prediction: Queens Park Rangers 0 West Ham United 1.
